Bhubaneswar: Twin City Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi has warned of strict action against those who would not follow the COVID-19 guidelines properly.
Speaking to mediapesons on Wednesday, Sarangi said the relaxation of lockdown norms has led the people to ignore the government direction for wearing face mask and maintaining social distance. Around 500 violators of the norms are fined everyday, he added.
Stating that the coronavirus is still around, he requested the people to follow the rules sincerely for their own health benefit. He also advised not to spit in public.
Advising the senior citizens to wear face mask even while staying indoors, Sarangi said police have been directed to spread awareness on use of face mask through public announcements.
