Bhubaneswar: The Communist Party of India (CPI) on Monday released the list of its candidates for Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha.
The CPI’s state general secretary Abhay Sahu at a press conference in Bhubaneswar announced the names of the party’s candidates for one Lok Sabha seat and 11 Assembly constituencies.
The Left party has nominated Ramesh Chandra Sethi as its candidate for Lok Sabha elections to Jagatsinghpur constituency. Following are the names of CPI’s nominees for Assembly seats:
Gurunath Pradhan: Chhatrapur
Rajendra Nayak: Sundargarh
Abhijit Sahu: Balikuda-Ersama
Ramesh Chandra Tripathy: Brajrajngar
Jinmayee Sahani: Paradip
Prabin Das: Kabisuryanagar
Ajay Patnaik: Nilagiri
Sankarsan Barik: Bhubaneswar North
Manoj Parida: Nimapara
Kumar Jani: Laxmipur
Pandav Bhoi: Kantabanji
Earlier, the CPI(M) had announced its candidates for one Lok Sabha and seven Assembly constituencies in Odisha. It nominated veteran leader and state secretary of the party Suresh Panigrahy from Bhubaneswar Parliamentary constituency.
