CREDAI Opposes Inordinate Delay In Registration Of Real Estate Projects

Bhubaneswar: CREDAI, an apex body of private real estate developers’ associations, on Sunday, opposed the inordinate delay in registration

process of real estate projects by Odisha Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA).

In the first ever all Odisha developers’ workshop on ‘RERA Hurdles &
Other Bottlenecks’ organised by the CREDAI Odisha on Sunday, founder
member DS Tripathy explained the situation prevailing in the state
after promulgation of RERA Act.

Citing the examples of willful harassment in matters relating to
inordinate delay in registration of projects, Tripathy threw light
on RERA Rules of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh
and explained how projects completed before promulgation of RERA Act
having civic infrastructure facilities are not taken into the ambit of
‘ongoing’ projects. He demanded that Odisha RERA should adopt the same
rules.

Among others, Sofia Firdosh, Anil Agarwal, Prasanna Padhy, Ajit
Mangaraj, Jitu Mohapatra took part in deliberations and spoke on
common problems in real estate and infrastructure development sector.

The event was attended by over 100 builders & developers of the state.
Participating delegates from Bhadrak, Balasore, Berhampur, Sambalpur,
Jharsuguda, Baripada, Puri, Cuttack and Bhubaneswar shared
experiences with RERA Authority and called for solidarity in the
fraternity to take up matters at appropriate forums.

On the occasion, DS Tripathy was unanimously nominated as chairman &
Binay Krishna Das as the vice chairman of the state confederation.
Similarly, Sangram Keshari Sahoo and Dillip Kumar Sahoo were
