Puri: People outside Puri town can conduct the last rites of their near and dear ones at Swargadwar here from August 16.
Puri Sub-Collector Bhabatarana Sahu told the media on Saturday a maximum of 10 people will be allowed during the cremation, which will be conducted with strict adherence to the COVID protocols.
The COVID-19 negative certificate of the deceased is mandatory, he said.
However, there will be no cremation during the weekend shutdown on Saturdays and Sundays, he added.
