Puri: In order to contain the spread of the COVID-19 in the district, the administration on Thursday extended the restriction on the cremation of bodies from outside the district at Swargadwar in the town till October 31.
Apart from this, the district administration has also extended the immersion of human bones in the sea in Puri till October 31.
It may be mentioned that out of 10,211 positive cases in the district so far, the Puri Municipality has 3396 cases which account for 33% of the total cases.
With 58 deaths and 8760 recoveries, Puri district has 1391 positive cases.
