Cricket For Blind: Indian Women Bag Gold In IBSA World Games; Men Face Pakistan In Final

New Delhi: India’s visually impaired women’s cricket team made history by bagging gold medal in the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) World Games on Saturday.

The Indian men will look to complete a ‘double’ in cricket when they take on Pakistan.

In the rain-disrupted women’s T20 final, India got the better of Australia by 9 wickets at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

The Indians restricted Australia to 114/8 in 20 overs. Following a rain interruption, the match was reduced to 9 overs and India’s target was revised to 42.

The Indian batters were on top of their game as they raced to the target in just 3.3 overs, losing one wicket.
