Crime Branch Begins Probe Into Fake Facebook Account Of Odisha IPS Officer

Bhubaneswar: The cyber cell of the Crime Branch has begun a probe into the fake Facebook account of senior IPS officer and ADG, Railways and Coastal Security, Pranabindu Acharya.

The incident came to light after a friend of Acharya received a friend request from the account, seeking financial help.

Acharya immediately lodged a complaint with the Cyber Cell of the Crime Branch, on Wednesday.

It may be mentioned that a similar incident had taken place last month, in which a minor boy was arrested for allegedly creating a fake Facebook profile of Rourkela SP K. Siva Subramani.
