Bhubaneswar: A four-member team of Crime Branch police on Sunday arrived in the city here after probing into the much-talked-about Kunduli suicide case in Odisha’s Koraput district.
During its tour, the team, led by the Crime Branch SP, visited Kunduli, Pottangi and the district headquarters hospital for an on-the-spot investigation.
On Saturday, a three-member BJP central team led by the party national general secretary and former MP Sushree Saroja Pandey, reached Koraput district headquarters.
The team, during its two-day visit, will meet family members of the minor rape victim at Musaguda and elicit details regarding the gang rape and her suicide. Besides, the team would visit Kunduli where the alleged gang rape took place and discuss the matter with senior district officers and police.
The team would leave Bhubaneswar for New Delhi on Monday and later submit a report to the BJP National President Amit Shah.
The other members of the team are MP Jyoti Dhrube, party national general secretary and MP Anju Bala.
On Monday, a four-member team of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) led by DSP Rabi Singh would arrive in Bhubaneswar on a five-day visit to probe into Kunduli rape and suicide case.
