Cuttack: The Crime Branch on Saturday said that it would probe the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) question papers leak.
The announcement came a day after president of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Dr Jahan Ara Begum lodged an FIR at Mangalabag police station.
Accepting the FIR, the Mangalabag police registered a case under Section 408 of the IPC and the Odisha Conduct of Examination Act, 1988.
Talking to mediapersons on Friday, Crime Branch ADG Santosh Upadhyay had said that the BSE in a letter on January 16 had requested the Crime Branch to probe the incident. “We had advised them to lodge an FIR in a local police station after which the Crime Branch will provide all technical support and try to solve the case at the earliest,” he had pointed out.
