Critical Security Warning For Android Users In India

New Delhi: The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a high-risk alert for Android users across India due to multiple security vulnerabilities.

As per reports, these flaws affect Android versions 15, 14, 13, 12, and 12L and could allow hackers to steal sensitive data, gain elevated access, execute malicious code, or crash devices.

One of the most serious vulnerabilities, CVE-2024-53104, is already being actively exploited by attackers. Cybercriminals can take advantage of these security gaps to gain unauthorised control over affected devices, posing a serious risk to users, as reported in Digit.

As per the report, CERT-In has warned that if exploited, these vulnerabilities could lead to data theft, system compromise, and denial of service (DoS) attacks. Android users are advised to update their devices immediately and follow security best practices to protect their data.
