Bhubaneswar: The Vigilance officials on Thursday arrested Shuvendu Pradhan, Junior Engineer of Bhubaneswar block for amassing property disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Vigilance estimated the total assets of Pradhan at Rs 1.76 crore which is 248 per cent more than his income.
The arrest comes a day after simultaneous raids were carried out on the office and houses of Pradhan on the allegation of acquisition of disproportionate assets.
The anti-corruption officials raided the house of Pradhan at the Housing Board Colony in Khandagiri area, his paternal house at Srichandanpur village in Kakatpur block in Puri district and the block office in the state capital.
