Bhubaneswar: Asit Kumar Nayak, a senior clerk at the office of RB Division-I, Bhubaneswar was arrested by Vigilance officials on Wednesday for amassing disproportionate property to the tune of Rs 5.23 crore.
The arrest comes a day after the Bhubaneswar division vigilance officials started raids on his property on Tuesday on the strength of search warrant issued by Vigilance Special Judge Court here.
Searches were conducted at his residential triple-storey building at Dumduma, a duplex at Jatni, house at native place Kaithapalli, Golanthara in Ganjam district a flat at Berhampur and office room at RB Division, Bhubaneswar.
