Bhubaneswar: With active cases surging closer to 4,000, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has declared 16 more micro-containment zones to check the spread of the virus.
Micro-Containment Zones:

3. Qtr No-4/2, Block-D/5, New Govt Colony
4. Plot No-737/4, Jaydev Vihar, Bhubaneswar
5. Plot No-87,Udaygiri Vihar, Patrapada
6. Plot No-185, Paika Nagar
7. Plot No-372, K7, Kalinga Nagar
8. CRPF Campus Barak No.6
9. QTR No.E-11/1, Unit-8,
10. Plot No-89/1304 Acharya Vihar
11. Shusruta Clinic-83, Budha Nagar, Near Tarini Bastralaya

The civic body had banned the entry of the public into the containment zones. The inhabitants of the containment zones have been advised to stay indoors. Shopping establishments, government and private institutions located within the boundary of the containment zone will also be closed immediately.
The corporation would supply essentials and medicines in the containment zones, it added.
Notably, Bhubaneswar had reported 710 new COVID cases on Tuesday and 30 among them were from the CRPF campus.
To ensure strict implementation of COVID guidelines, the BMC has also decided to impose Rs 500 fine on the violators.
