New Delhi: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) headquarters here was sealed indefinitely for sanitisation after a personal staff member of a top-ranking officer of the paramilitary force tested positive for COVID-19, officials said on Sunday.
The staffer, who had been coming regularly for duty at the Lodhi Road office, had tested positive on Saturday.
Some of the top-level CRPF officials will also move into home quarantine as they had come in contact with the infected staffer. The entire building at the CGO complex, which houses the offices of the CRPF Director General (DG) and Special Director General (SDG) will be sanitised.
“The report of the staffer came positive yesterday. The building will not be open to any person for procedural reasons. The date of opening of the building for the staff has not been finalised yet,” a CRPF official was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
