CRPF Jawan Dies After Firing Inside Camp In Sambalpur

Sambalpur: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan succumbed to bullet injuries after firing at a firing camp in Sambalpur on Tuesday.

Sources said gunshots were heard the Jujumara CRPF camp in Sambalpur district on Tuesday afternoon after which was Buta Singh was found lying in a pool of blood. He was rushed to the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla, where doctors declared him dead.

Whether it was an accidental firing or a murder case is yet to be ascertained. It is also suspected that he might have attempted to kill himself with his service rifle. Investigations are on.
