Nayagarh: Wife of a CRPF jawan was found dead with her throat slit at a village in Rajsunakhala area of Odisha’s Nayagarh district on Monday.
The incident reportedly took place at Kotanisila village under the jurisdiction of Rajasunakhala police outpost in Nayagarh district, on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Namita Dehuri, wife of a CRPF jawan.
As per sources, Namita was staying alone at the house while her husband and three children lived outside. Some miscreants were suspected to have barged into her house and killed her on Sunday night.
Locals spotted Namita lying in a pool of blood and informed police. Upon being informed, police seized the body and sent it for postmortem.
Police launched a probe into the incident and a scientific team visited and examined the site. Efforts are on to nab the miscreants.
While the exact reason behind the killing is yet to be ascertained, police detained two youths of the village in this connection, sources said.
