Bhubaneswar: Tension prevailed on the premises of an engineering college under Airfield police limits in Bhubaneswar after miscreants allegedly hurled crude bombs on Saturday night.
The unidentified miscreants targeted the institution late in the night and hurled the bombs. Sources said several students were injured in the incident.
Though exact cause behind the bombing is yet to be ascertained, sources said it was a fallout of past enmity between two groups.
The bombs were hurled when one of the student’s group was leaving the hostel in a bus, sources said. The hostel superintendent was also attacked during the clash.
An FIR in this connection has been registered by Airfield police and an investigation into the matter is on. The college declared closure sine die, apprehending further unrest, sources informed.
