Bhubaneswar: Cruise facilities will be available in Chilika soon like in Goa and Andaman. Tourists can also enjoy the luxuries of boat houses and floating restaurant like in Kerala.
For all these facilities, the Odisha Forest and Environment Department has prepared a master plan.
According to sources, the Integrated Coastal Zone Management Project (ICZMP) has appointed a consulting firm in this regard. An elaborate discussion on this topic was held at the State Secretariat here on Thursday.
In the first phase, 32 acres of land in Rambha and 80 to 90 acres of government land in Satapada have been identified for this purpose. The earmarked land will be developed according to the master plan, the sources said.
