New Delhi: Odisha’s innovative initiatives towards sustainable urban mobility has earned national recognition.
Ama Bus and Ama E-Ride, flagship initiatives of the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), Bhubaneswar, won the ‘Special Mention Award in Urban Transport’ under the ‘Running Trophy for the State/UT which has Implemented Best Urban Transport Projects’ category.
Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary of Odisha’s Housing & Urban Development Department and senior officials from CRUT received the award from Union Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar during the Valedictory Session of the Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference 2025 at Gurugram on Sunday.
The national recognition is a boost for Odisha’s people-centric and green mobility solutions, reflecting the state’s commitment to building modern, inclusive and sustainable cities through integrated and environment-friendly transport systems.
