took out a mass rally from Hatapada market to Bamunigaon police
station under Daringibadi block of Kandhamal district

demanding CBI probe into the death of a local youth.
“Akash Singh has been killed by some unidentified miscreants four days
ago. But, the police are yet to trace out and nab the accused.
Bamunigaon has been experiencing a rise in criminal activities such as
murder, rape, robberies and thefts as the police have failed to
initiate measures to check the same”, an agitator alleged.
Later, the protestors submitted a memorandum bearing seven-point
charter of demands to additional tehsildar Sunil Kumar Pradhan to
order a CBI inquiry into the case at the earliest.
