Jeypore: Chief secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra has set the deadline for completion of the under-construction district headquarters hospital (DHH) at Jeypore in Koraput district.
During a visit to the district on Saturday, Mahapatra reviewed the construction work of the new building for the DHH with senior officials. He directed the agency executing the project to complete the works by October this year.
The construction work of the new DHH building was started in March 2022 with an estimated budget of Rs 104.34 crore. While the works on the main building have almost been completed, construction of roads and parking facilities in the campus is going on at present.
Koraput district collector Abdul Mohammad Akhtar, superintending engineer of Roads and Building department Bhaskar Samantray, DHH superintendent Rabindra Nath Mishra and other officials of the district adminsitration attended the meeting.
Later, the chief secretary visited Shiva temple at Gupteswar in the district and offered puja there. He also discussed the master plan for development of the temple with the officials and took stock of Dakri ghat road.
