New Delhi: The third edition of Common University Entrance Test-Undergraduate (CUET-UG) this year will end in just seven days and 16 shifts by May 24, authorities informed media.
According to National Testing Agency (NTA), tests of 15 subjects will be in pen-paper mode and 48 subjects will be on computer-based mode. To reduce long distance travel, all candidates have been allotted centres within their states and for majority closer to their homes, PTI reported.
“This year all the candidates will have the same question paper, and thereby face the same difficulty level,” Director General of NTA Subodh Kumar Singh told media.
Earlier, NTA had announced that the exam will be conducted between May 15 and 31.
Last year, the CUET-UG was delivered in 34 days and 93 shifts and the exam was also extended twice. The duration was also long as examination on a particular subject was conducted over multiple shifts and normalisation of scores took time.
More than 13.4 lakh candidates have registered for the common entrance test for admission to undergraduate courses in 261 central, state, deemed and private universities this year, the agency informed media.
