Bhadrak/Bhubaneswar: Curfew has been extended till 6 pm on Saturday and patrolling intensified in communal violence-hit Bhadrak town.
Security has been tightened further with deployment of 18 platoons of
police force to maintain law and order in the town.
Apprehending trouble, the authorities of Bhadrak College postponed the examinations till restoration of normalcy.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, in his Twitter message, appealed to the people of Bhadrak to maintain peace and harmony.
State Congress president Prasad Harichandan condemned the violence and appealed for peace and restraint.
