Current Fish With ‘Human Tongue’ Found In Odisha’s Jajpur

Jajpur: A rare fish having a tongue that resembles a human tongue was fished out of Berhampur canal in Binjharpur area on Wednesday.

According to villagers who spotted the fish said it is called “Current Fish” in local parlance. It is believed that people who catch this fish alive may get jitters like electric shocks. Its tongue, intererstingly, looks like one in oral cavity in a human being.
