Bhubaneswar: The cut-off marks for first phase admission into degree courses in colleges of Odisha were released on Friday.
According to the list of colleges, released by the Higher Education department, besides Ravenshaw University in Cuttack and BJB Autonomous College in Bhubaneswar, several other colleges in the state have topped in cut-off marks in different subjects of the three streams of Arts, Science and Commerce.
In Arts, Fakir Mohan Autonomous College in Balasore and MPC Autonomous College at Baripada have emerged top colleges for admission in Graduation course.
The cut-off mark in Chemistry is 94.5%, in Mathematics 94% and Botany 95.6% in SCS College at Puri. Similarly, MPC College has set 94.83% for admission to Zoology course.
The cut-off mark in Commerce in Ravenshaw is 86.83%, in BJB 85.83% and in JKBK College 81%, according to the department.
This year, out of 2,23,310 students, who had submitted applications for admission, 1,74,195 have been selected in the first phase. They include 1,08,483 students in Arts stream, 17,217 in Commerce stream and the rest in Science.
