Cuttack: The district administration has issued fresh restrictions related to Raja festival in order to prevent spread of coronavirus.
As per the administration’s order, community or group celebration of the festival in public places is prohibited. Similarly, different games associated with the festival including ‘Puchi’, swings and ‘Bagudi’ are not allowed to be played outside private premises.
The administration has also directed the shop owners in market places to prevent gathering of customers and warned of tough actions, if large crowd is found at any shop during the festival period.
Earlier, Keonjhar, Khurda and Balasore districts had imposed curbs on Raja celebration.
