Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday appointed Cuttack Collector Arindam Dakua as private secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
All eyes were on this post which was earlier held by V K Pandian in the previous BJD regime. He served as Private Secretary to former CM Naveen Patnaik from 2011 to 2023 when he took voluntary retirement from government service.
Dakua is a 2011-batch IAS officer of Odisha cadre. He has earlier served as Director, Special Project, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water (PR&DW) department, and Director-cum-Additional Secretary, Drinking Water & Sanitation, PR&DW Department.
Similarly, Jagatsinghpur Collector Anupam Shah, a 2012-batch officer, has been named additional secretary to CM, an official release said.
On June 18, Satish Chandra Samal, senior private secretary of the Home Department cadre, was appointed as additional private secretary to the CM.
