Cuttack: SCB Medical College and Hospital on Tuesday reported the first death of a dengue patient in Odisha this year.
SCB dengue nodal officer informed that the woman patient from Aul area of Kendrapara district was admitted to the hospital’s medicine ward on July 29. She was later shifted to the ICU of the special dengue ward after she tested positive for the disease. She succumbed to her illness around 5 am on Tuesday.
The nodal officer said the deceased also had kidney failure at the time of her admission to the hospital.
