Cuttack: The official Facebook page of Cuttack Mayor Subhash Singh has allegedly been hacked by cyber fraudsters.
According to preliminary information, the hackers were stated to have posted some obscene contents on the status of the Facebook page of the Mayor last night.
After coming to know about the hacking which sparked a flutter, Singh issued a clarification.
“My official Subhash Singh page has been hacked. As a result, my social media team is unable to gain access to block it. The miscreants have posted some obscene content. I have sought help from cybercrime officials,” Singh said.
The Mayor further appealed to people to block his official page from their respective accounts. A complaint has been lodged with the police following the incident and a probe is underway.
