Cuttack MLA Asks Naveen To Set Price Cap For COVID Treatment At Private Hospitals

Cuttack: Cuttack Barabati MLA Mohammed Moquim has written to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, requesting him to determine a uniform rate for treatment of COVID-19 patients at private hospitals and nursing homes.

Pointing out that private hospitals are charging exorbitant rates during the second wave of COVID-19, the Congress MLA requested the CM that the state government should either bear the full treatment cost of coronavirus patients at private hospitals or take steps for determination of price capping for bed with and without oxygen support, medicines, tests, CT scan, X-ray, ventilator facility, etc on chargeable basis.
