Cuttack: Uproarious scenes were witnessed during a meeting of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) as several corporators were seen losing their cool and indulging in unruly behaviour.
As the proceedings were underway during the CMC council meeting, one furious corporator was seen hurling microphone and glass.
As per information, glasses were broken, a microphone was damaged, and chairs were hurled by some corporators. Objection by another member further escalated tension.
As the meeting hall plunged into turmoil amid ruckus, the proceedings were suspended and the Cuttack Mayor and CMC Commissioner left the place after efforts to restore peace and normalcy failed to yield any positive result.
While the exact reason behind the pandemonium remained unclear, ruckus reportedly erupted after a corporator sought information through a question regarding the creation of certain civic facilities.
