Cuttack Reports One More COVID-19 Death, Odisha Toll Rises To 419

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 death toll in Odisha touched 419 on Monday with 10 more patients succumbing to the virus in the last 24 hours.

The new fatalities were reported from Ganjam (5), Sundargarh (2) and one each in Cuttack, Nayagarh and Rayagada districts.

The Health Department identified the deceased as:

1. A 65-year-old male of Cuttack district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.

2. A 70-year-old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from dialated cardiomyopathy and diabetes mellitus.

3. A 68-year-old female of Ganjam district who was also suffering from diabetes, cirrhosis and morbid obesity.

4. A 60-year-old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from diabetes and morbid obesity.

5. A 63-year-old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from diabetes.

6. A 60-year-old male of Ganjam district.

7. A 65-year-old male of Nayagarh district.

8. A 55-year-old male of Rayagada district.

9. A 65-year-old male of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from diabetes.

10. A 67-year-old male of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from hypertension.

With these 10 new casualties, the virus has so far claimed 179 lives in Ganjam district, followed by 54 in Khurda, 27 in Sundargarh, 25 in Cuttack, 22 in Rayagada, 17 in Gajapati, 12 in Nayagarh, 10 in Puri, nine in Sambalpur, eight in Balasore, six in Kandhamal and Bhadrak, five each in Bargarh and Keonjhar, four each in Jajpur, Malkangiri and Angul, three each in Koraput, Balangir, and Kendrapada, two each in Sonepur, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Jagatsinghpur and Kalahandi and one each in Jharsuguda, and Nabarangpur.
