Cuttack: The death of a Plus II student in the city took a new turn as his family members on Friday alleged that he was murdered and the former boyfriend of his girlfriend was involved in it.
The father of deceased Tusharkant Sahu, a student of Christ College, here told the media that his son was a fun-loving boy and had no reason to commit suicide. He suspected the involvement of the former boyfriend of Tushar’s girlfriend Bulbul as he along with some others had beaten Tushar a few days back.
He also said Tushar was afraid of darkness and feared to move out alone at night. How could he drive alone all the way to Jobra barrage late in the night, he questioned.
Tushar’s sister said Bulbul’s former boyfriend used to threaten Tushar though Bulbul had admitted to be in love with Tushar. She also claimed to have known that Tushar and Bulbul had exchanged text messages expressing their love towards each other.
After developing friendship with Tushar, Bulbul continued to have relationship with her boyfriend which raised suspicion of foul play in the incident, Tushar’s sister said.
