Cuttack: Seven years after the murder of a trader at Malgodown here, the Commissionerate Police on Wednesday nabbed one more accused from the city railway station.
Commissioner of Police (CP) Soumendra Priyadarshi ide
ntified the accused as Dipak Nayak, a close associate of the gangster Dhalasamant brothers. “He had been absconding after the murder of Mohammad Yakub, a wholesale cereal trader in Malgodown area on November 12, 2014,” he said.
A special team raided the railway station this morning on a tip-off and arrested him while he was trying to flee the neighbouring state, he said.
A country-made pistol and two live bullets were seized from his possession.
The prime accused in the case, Arif Khan, was arrested earlier, the CP added.
