Cuttack Dahibara Aloo Dum was found making waves and tickling taste buds at the recent 11th National Street Food Festival in New Delhi.
Pradipta Kumar Sahu aka Babula, who has been running a Dahibara Aloo Dum stall at Shelter Chhak In Cuttack for the last 30 years, was awarded the Top East Zone Street Food Stall
“More than the award, the fact that Odisha was adjudged number one gave me immense happiness,” said Babula, who started selling the street food at an early age of 14. He earns Rs 8,000 per day on an average.
The 11th edition of the street food festival organized at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi from December 25 to December 29 and saw around 250 contestants from 29 states.
Notably, Odisha celebrated its maiden Dahibara Aloodum Dibasa, the most-popular street food in Cuttack, on March 1 last year.
