Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded 96 cyber fraud cases during 2021-22 involving an amount of Rs 91 lakh, Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Kumar Mishra told the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. According to him, Rs 11 lakh out of Rs 91 lakh was recovered.
As far as cyber frauds in 2021-22 are concerned, the top five states were Tamil Nadu (4,866), Maharashtra (2,443), NCT of Delhi (1,402) and Uttar Pradesh (1,027), Mishra told the House.
Overall, 13,951 cyber fraud cases were recorded in 2021-22, he said.
