Balasore: A 17-year-old boy was killed being hit by a pick-up van near Khantapada police station in Balasore district on Thursday.
He was identified as Sachindra Jena.
According to police sources, the pick-up van rammed into the bicycle Sachindra was riding. Following which, he fell on the road and sustained grievous injuries. Though local residents got him admitted to the district headquarters hospital, he succumbed of his injuries during treatment.
Police have seized the vehicle and further investigation is on.
