Bhubaneswar: A cyclist died after being run over by three trucks at Palasuni Chhak in Bhubaneswar, late on Saturday.
According to sources, the accident took place at around 1.30 am when the man was thrown off the bicycle after being hit by a speeding truck, heading towards Cuttack from Vani Vihar. Moments later, two more trucks ran over him, killing him on the spot.
Locals blocked the road, guarding the body and disrupting traffic for a brief period. Soon, Mancheswar police arrived at the spot and brought the situation under control. The body was then sent to Capital Hospital.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be established.
