Cyclone Amphan: Chariot Construction Work In Puri Suspended For Two Days

Puri: Taking note of the movement of Super Cyclone Amphan towards the coastline of Odisha, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Monday announced the suspension of chariot construction work for two days from Tuesday.

“As heavy rainfall accompanied by strong wind will lash the coastal districts including Puri from tomorrow, the temple administration has suspended the chariot construction for two days from Tuesday. The construction work will resume on May 21,” Public Relations Officer of the temple Jitendra Mohanty told the media here.
