New Delhi: Cyclone Amphan is most likely to severely impact telecom services in Odisha, said Telecom Secretary Anshu Prakash on Tuesday.
Briefing the media in New Delhi, he said that the Department of Telecommunication (DoT) had a meeting with the private telecom service providers in Odisha in this connection and they said assured to provide uninterrupted services through Digi sets during and after the cyclone.
“They would be able to provide services to the people living nearby a tower of any company if it remained intact. The people need not have to pay the roaming charge for the intra service,” the Telecom secretary said.
