Bhubaneswar: The State Government has asked the collectors to submit their assessment reports on the damages caused by cyclone Amphan within 48 hours.
Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Kumar Jena has directed the collectors that while they can file the primary reports in two days, the final report can be filed later.
The SRC issued the direction after the cyclone left Odisha coastline mostly affecting Balasore, Bhadrak and Jagatsinghpur districts and headed for West Bengal. The Amphan has already made the landfall at Sunderbans in the neighbouring state in the afternoon.
