Bhubaneswar: Rayagada Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) Siva Prasad Padhi was on Thursday suspended for not joining duty despite strict instructions from the Odisha government in view of the impending extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani.
According to an official statement, Rayagada District Headquarters Hospital Superintendent Dr. Shakti Baral Mohanty has been given the additional duty of CDMO.
The government had earlier cancelled eaves of all the doctors and employees in Health Department till May 15. The employees, who are off the duty, were asked to report to their authorities concerned at the district headquarters hospitals by the evening of May 1. The CDMOs were directed to monitor the matter.
