Bhubaneswar: Air India and Indian Railways on Saturday announced to run special services from here to help stranded passengers reach their destinations.
With the Biju Patnaik International Airport expected to open at 1 PM, Air India announced to operate an additional flight to Delhi at 5.45 PM. It will leave from Delhi at at 3 PM.
Passengers holding valid Air India tickets have been advised to avail this service.
Railways have also announced to run a special train to Bengaluru on Saturday, May 4.
It will leave from here at 7 PM today and will reach at Bengaluru at 1.35 AM on May, 6, 2019.
It will have one AC-2 Tier, four AC-3 Tier, 11 sleeper class, Four Second Class Seating and Two Guard/Disabled & Luggage Van Coaches in its composition. It will have stoppages at Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Duvvada, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Guntur, Nandayal, Guntakal & Dharmavaram between Bhubaneswar and Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, Air India in a statement said that if any (NGO/ Civil society/ SHG etc) wants to send relief materials to cyclone affected area of Orissa, Air India would ship it free of cost.
Concern NGO/ Civil Society/ SHG etc may contact Resident Commissioner office of Orissa at Delhi to send the relief materials to cyclone affected area of Orissa free of cost by Air India.
