Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday announced that COVID vaccination drive has been cancelled in the city on Sunday and Monday in view of IMD warning on cyclone Gulab.
According to the forecast of India Meteorological Department (IMD), the deep depression over Bay of Bengal has intensified into cyclone ‘Gulab’ and was heading towards Andhra Pradesh-Odisha coast.
Since heavy rainfall is likely in the capital city under the influence of the cyclone, the vaccination drive has been cancelled for the two days keeping the safety and security of the people in mind, BMC sources said.
