Bhubaneswar: With a cyclonic storm brewing over the Bay of Bengal, the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, has predicted heavy rainfall for several places including coastal districts during the next five days.
The Met office has forecast rainfall and issued yellow warning till May 26 morning. Details of which is as follows:
Heavy rainfall likely at isolated places over the districts of Gajapati, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Jajpur and Bhadrak, this is valid till 8.30 am of May 22.
Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph likely to occur at one or two isolated places over the districts of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri.
May 22 to May 23 morning
Thunderstorm with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Puri, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore and Mayurbhanj.
May 23 to May 24 morning
Rainfall likely at one or two places over the districts of Khurda, Puri, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore and Mayurbhanj.
May 24 to May 25 morning
Thunderstorm with lightning likely at isolated places over the districts of Khurda, Cuttack, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely at isolated places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore.
