Phulbani: All schools in Odisha’s Kandhamala district will remain closed on November 3 and 4 in view of the approaching severe cyclonic storm Murasu over the Bay of Bengal.
According to an order issued by the office of the Kandhamala Collector, classes up to Class XII in all schools across the district will remain suspended till November 4.
The order has been issued by the Collector under powers vested under Section 30(2)(v) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
However, examinations and other such activities will continue as scheduled and will not be affected by this closure order.
The administration has asked all concerned to follow the order meticulously.
Earlier, the administration in Malkangiri had ordered all schools to be shut across the district till November 4.
