Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: Several precautionary measures have been taken in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar to tackle the upcoming cyclone Yaas.
Pumps are being placed at those areas in Bhubaneswar which are prone to waterlogging.
The BMC has set up a control room where people can call on toll-free numbers 0674-2431253 and 18003450061 to register their grievance and seek assistance.
The Cuttack district administration has set up 25 cyclone shelter homes and 128 temporary shelter homes before Yaas hits Odisha.
All high-level officials have been asked to stay alert and shift cyclone-affected people.
Antigen test is compulsory for those cyclone-affected people who will have to be shifted to shelter homes. They will be provided food.
Generator facility will be available in all sub-divisions and villages of Cuttack district.
