Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing financial assistance of Rs 500 crore to Odisha to extend immediate relief to people in the state affected by Cyclone Yaas.
The severe cyclonic storm made landfall at Dhamra, near Balasore, on the morning of May 26 and caused damage to coastal areas in Balasore and Bhadrak districts.
Pradhan, who accompanied Modi during the Prime Minister’s aerial survey of cyclone-affected areas in Odisha’s Bhadrak and Balasore districts and Purba Medinipur in West Bengal, expressed his gratitude to his leader through a tweet.
The Odisha CM earlier in the day posted a tweet thanking PM Modi for visiting Odisha in the aftermath of Cyclone Yaas.
