Bhubaneswar: In view of very severe cyclonic storm Yaas, scheduled commercial flight operations in Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda airports and Rourkela airstrip will remain suspended (except govt and medical flights) till May 27.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) said that Bhubaneswar will be closed from 11 pm on Tuesday till 5 am on Thursday (May 27); Jharsuguda from 12.01 am on Wednesday till 7.45 am on Thursday and Rourkela airstrip will be closed on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the landfall process of the very severe cyclonic storm has begun between north of Dhamra and south of Balasore close around Bahanaga block coast. Bhadrak and Balasore districts are likely to bear the maximum brunt.
Wind speed close to 100-150 kmph likely to prevail over coastal regions of Odisha.
