Cyclone Yaas: Odisha Deputes Five Officials To Monitor Relief & Restoration In Coastal Districts

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday entrusted five senior officials to supervise relief, rehabilitation and restoration works in five coastal districts in the wake of the approaching Cyclone Yaas.

The move followed the IMD forecast that the very severe cyclonic storm Yaas will render extensive damage to five districts – Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Balasore and Mayurbhanj.

The five officials given charge of the five districts are:

Hemant Sharma: Kendrapada
Saswat Mishra: Jagatsinghpur
Vir Vikram Yadav-Bhadrak
Vishal Dev: Balasore
Suresh Vashishth: Mayurbhanj
